Creator Bio: My career is a 360 degree loop. Animated movies were my first love as an artist so I majored in animation at the Columbus College of Art and Design. But all of the major studios shut down their 2D productions while I was in school and either moved those divisions overseas or switched over to producing CGI cartoons instead. I hated my computer animation classes so after graduation, I found work in commercial illustration instead. This opened the door to pursue my other great love, comics. I published three volumes of my own series, “The Dreamer,” through IDW publishing and am I also known for my work as series artist on “Wynonna Earp.”
After a decade in comics, I felt like I was hitting a wall (or a glass ceiling) with my career and I burnt out. I decided to leave comics, a decision I wish I’d made earlier. I moved to LA, and took a job as a storyboard revisionist working on the upcoming “Invincible” cartoon where, after working solo most of my career, I fell in love with the creative energy of an animation studio and haven’t looked back. I’ve spent the last few years working as a storyboard artist and animation director. I’ve worked for Skybound, Warner Bros. Animation, ShadowMachine, and the Russo Brothers’ animation studio, Octopie.
